"A few years ago I was making a friend’s wedding dress with gorgeous fabric from Caledonia. My sewing machine couldn’t do an invisible zipper so the clerk offered to do it. Later, when I returned to have to zipper put in, I found out that the clerk had to leave for a family emergency. I was in a panic.
Dorothy Simpson calmed me down, called a seamstress, and had it done in a few hours. Dorothy refused to take payment as she told me that a promise is something her store kept. I was astounded and thought, now that is how a business stays in business. It was a great article on a very classy lady and her fabulous store."
